Parents × futures research

Raising them into the futures parents are imagining.

No question is too wild. Parents share what they imagine for their kids' futures. We listen for the weak signals across cultures so parents can find common ground on what's on their mind.

Research Digest

Digestible highlights on the future of the next generation extracted from reputable sources providing us food for thought.

As Raising Them Into… grows, the goal is to surface what parents are already imagining, and help make it real, instead of adding to the doom and gloom already crowding the internet.

Themes

01

Interaction to technologies

How does your child actually use AI or tech day to day — not how you picture it, but what you've actually seen? Has any of that surprised you?

02

Making a living, tomorrow

When you picture the world your kid will need to make a living in, what does that picture look like from where you're sitting right now — what's specific to your place, your economy, your system, about that worry? And what would a good working life look like for them?

03

Relationship to environment

Is there a version of the future you're actively trying to prepare your kid for, versus one you're trying to protect them from?

04

Learning and self-development

Do you feel like school is actually keeping pace with the world your kid is growing into — teaching what will matter, not just what's always been taught?

05

A safe place to grow up

As power shifts between countries and regions — alliances changing, some places feeling more volatile, others more stable — do you think about where in the world is actually a safe, stable place for your kid to grow up and stay? Has that changed where you'd choose to live, or how you think about home?

06

Looking forward and joy

What are you genuinely excited about for your kid's future — something you're actually looking forward to, not just hoping for?

Who's behind this

Twenty years of helping people think clearly about change. Now aimed closer to home.

Over the last twenty years, my work has taken me across energy policy, sustainability consulting, healthcare products, and financial technology. I hold a PhD grounded in design research and sustainability innovation, and as a researcher, I've helped institutions and communities navigate unmapped contexts and facilitated hard conversations between diverging viewpoints.

What I learned there has stayed with me: people don't need someone to hand them answers. They need a real way to think out loud together, and someone willing to hold the space while they do it.
